Senegalese defender Yaël Nandjou Kwingoua is close to sealing a move to newly-promoted side Alverca.
The teenager will join the club after his contract with boyhood club OGC Nice expires at the end of June 2025.
Having risen through the ranks at Nice, Nandjou made his first-team debut in the 2024/25 football season.
He was among the academy players given opportunities following an injury crisis that forced coach Franck Haise to turn to youth, particularly during the UEFA Europa League campaign.
Nandjou, 19, featured in four Europa League matches, three Ligue 1 games, and one Coupe de France fixture this season. Despite making a breakthrough, he is expected to leave the club this summer.
According to L’Équipe, Nandjou is set to sign a three-year contract with Alverca, who recently earned promotion to the Portuguese top flight.
The teenager is upbeat ahead of the move and hopes to excel in Portugal.
