The manager of Stade Rennais, Habib Beye, has indicated that he is focused on the progress his team has made in the last few games.
The former Senegal defender was only appointed to manage the French Ligue 1 outfit last month.
In his team’s last match against Stade de Reims, fans were unhappy that Stade Rennais only scored one goal while the opponent received two red cards.
However, speaking on his team’s inability to score more goals, Beye disclosed that there are signs his team is making progress, and that is more important.
“I’m not going to stigmatise my attackers because they could have put two or three past Reims. But the reality is we only managed to score once and we won. I said it because I really think it: this team is progressing. And what interests me is progression,” the manager said.
Up next for Habib Beye and his Stade Rennais side, they will face off with Montpellier in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday.
The fans will be eager to see more goals and victory for the team at the end of the contest.
