Senegal international Nicolas Jackson is reportedly not in the plans of Premier League club, Chelsea heading into the new campaign.
The former Villarreal attacker risk losing his position at the club following the arrival of Liam Delap. Jackson will not play a leading role under manger Enzo Maresca next season, sparking concerns about the future of the attacker.
Jackson is no longer considered a central player in Enzo Maresca’s squad. Moreover, he could leave the club as early as this summer.
The forward has struggled to hit grounds at the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup tournament. He was sent off in his outfit second group game just four minutes after his introduction into the much-anticipated clash.
Jackson committed a reckless foul against a Flamengo player and was immediately shown a straight red card.
Chelsea advanced to the Club World Cup round of 16 from second place and will face Benfica in the playoffs.
