Senegal has expanded its influence within world football as two of its leading administrators, Abdoulaye Fall and Aïcha Henriette Ndiaye, earn appointments to FIFA committees.

Abdoulaye Fall, the newly elected president of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) for a four-year term, joins the FIFA Men’s National Team Competitions Committee.

This influential body oversees the organisation and smooth running of all international men’s football competitions, including major tournaments and qualification processes.

Fall’s inclusion marks a significant step for Senegal’s growing presence in global football governance.

Alongside him, Aïcha Henriette Ndiaye, chair of the FSF Women’s Football Development Committee, has secured a position on the FIFA Women’s Football Development Committee.

The panel focuses on advancing women’s football globally through strategic planning, investment, and policy development.

Ndiaye will work with prominent figures from across the world, including Laura Georges of France and Johanna Wood of New Zealand, who serve as vice-chair and chair of the committee respectively.

Her appointment reflects Senegal’s commitment to promoting the women’s game both domestically and internationally.

These appointments highlight FIFA’s recognition of Senegal’s progress and leadership within African football.

They also underscore the FSF’s increasing involvement in shaping the sport’s future at the highest level.

In addition, Abdoulaye Saydou Sow, another key figure in Senegalese football administration, has been named a member of the FIFA Development Committee.

This influential body, chaired by Egypt’s Hany Abo Rida, focuses on funding and infrastructure projects aimed at growing the game worldwide.

With three senior Senegalese officials now holding positions in FIFA’s decision-making structures, the West African nation continues to build on its footballing reputation and strengthen its voice in shaping global football policy.
