Senegalese goalkeeper Yehvann Diouf has expressed his excitement after completing his transfer to French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice.
The shot-stopper sealed his move to the club on Thursday, July 3, signing a five-year contract with the side.
Speaking in his first interview, Yehvann Diouf described the move to OGC Nice as a great opportunity to advance his career.
He said signing for such a top European club makes him proud, while adding that he has no doubt he will accomplish great things with the team.
“It’s a great opportunity that I’m approaching with ambition. Nice is a club accustomed to Europe, a big Ligue 1 team. I’m very proud to commit here for the long term. I’m convinced that we will accomplish great things and make the supporters proud,” Yehvann Diouf said.
Although born in France, Yehvann Diouf has roots in Senegal. He earned his first cap for the Teranga Lions of Senegal this year in a friendly match against Ireland.
He hopes to perform at the top level at OGC Nice to earn more call-ups to play for Senegal.
