Senegalese-French winger Cherif Diallo departs Bordeaux after short spell

Senegalese-French right winger Cherif Diallo has joined the ranks of unattached players after leaving Bordeaux on 31 August 2026.

The 21-year-old spent two months with Bordeaux, having arrived from Chateaubriant on 1 July in a free transfer. His departure brings his time at the club to an end without a further destination recorded.

Diallo plays primarily on the right wing and was born in Mbour, Senegal. He represents both Senegalese and French footballing backgrounds, while his senior career has so far been based in France.

Before joining Bordeaux, Diallo spent the 2025-26 campaign with Chateaubriant, having moved there from Roche Vendee B on a free transfer in July 2025. That switch followed his progression through La Roche’s youth sides, including La Roche U17 and La Roche U19.

His recorded senior appearances include 27 matches in National 1 Group A, in which he scored three goals and provided two assists. He also featured three times in the Coupe de France, scoring twice, while making eight appearances in National 1 Group B.

Diallo’s record at under-19 level includes 25 appearances and seven goals in National U19 Group C. His most recent senior move to Bordeaux represented the latest step in a career that began in the La Roche youth system before taking him into senior football with Roche Vendee B and Chateaubriant.

The winger is now without a club following his departure from Bordeaux, with the change recorded on 31 August 2026. Cherif Diallo has therefore completed his exit from Bordeaux and is an unattached player.
