Premier League: Senegalese guo Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye start for Everton in Merseyside derby

Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye has addressed ongoing speculation linking him with a big-money move to Inter Milan, reaffirming his commitment to the Premier League club amid growing transfer interest.

The Senegal international, who joined Everton last season, has been the subject of reports suggesting that Inter made an enquiry worth around £40 million.

According to The Athletic, the Merseyside club swiftly turned down the approach, making it clear that the 25-year-old remains central to their long-term plans.

Speaking publicly for the first time since the rumours emerged, Ndiaye made his stance clear. “I was always very keen to stay here and be part of this new chapter for Everton,” he said.

“As I always say, if there are rumours or interest like that, it must mean you’re doing something right, right? I’m really happy to be at this club and be part of a new project with the new stadium and new ownership.”

Ndiaye, who enjoyed an impressive debut campaign with 11 goals in 37 appearances, remains focused on helping Everton rediscover their glory days.

“I want to achieve things with Everton, I want to win trophies, which the club hasn’t seen for too long,” he added. “Winning a trophy would be huge for this club and for the supporters, but also for me. It’s an ambition of mine, too.”

Under the guidance of manager David Moyes, Everton have shown renewed resilience as they rebuild both on and off the pitch.
