Amiens SC has formally announced the departure of Senegalese striker Amadou Ciss, marking the commencement of an exciting new phase in his career with Adanaspor, a club competing in the Turkish second division. The announcement was made through official channels, confirming that the 24-year-old winger has committed to Adanaspor until 2025.
Amadou Ciss, a dynamic player known for his contributions in the U20 AFCON and the 2019 U20 World Cup, brings his talents to Adanaspor, currently holding the 15th position in the championship with 20 points from 21 matches.
Despite limited appearances this season with Amiens SC, the Senegalese international is enthusiastic about the prospects of this fresh opportunity.
Having embarked on his journey with Amiens in the summer of 2020 following a transfer from Fortuna Sittard, Amadou Ciss made a notable impact, featuring in 42 matches and contributing 3 goals and 2 assists during his stay.
Hailing from Guediawaye, Senegal, Ciss had previous stints with Teungueth and made his move to Pau FC in 2018 before experiencing football in different leagues with Fortuna Sittard, Amiens SC, AEL Limassol, and Adanaspor, where he was loaned by Amiens in 2022.
Notably, Ciss is returning to familiar territory at Adanaspor, a club he knows well, having played 15 matches and scored 5 goals during his previous tenure.
The signing of Amadou Ciss presents an exciting prospect for Adanaspor as they aim to elevate their standing in the Turkish second division with the Senegalese forward’s skill and expertise on the field.
