Abdallah Sima’s future at Brighton & Hove Albion appears close to an end, with the Senegalese striker drawing interest from clubs in France, Germany, and England during the current transfer window.
Under contract with Brighton until June 2026, the 24-year-old has yet to make an official appearance for the Seagulls since joining from Slavia Prague for €8 million in 2021.
Despite a promising spell in the Czech Republic, Sima has spent the past three seasons on loan, featuring for Stoke City, Rangers, and most recently Stade Brestois.
His loan stints have been productive. At Rangers, he scored 16 goals in 39 appearances, while at Brest last season, he netted 12 times in 40 matches.
Known for his versatility and consistent scoring record in European competitions, Sima is now expected to leave Brighton permanently.
With only a year left on his deal, the club is seeking between €8m and €10m for his transfer — a figure that may prove challenging for some suitors.
RC Lens have emerged as one of the clubs monitoring the situation closely. Following the departure of Goduine Koyalipou to Levante, the French side are aiming to bolster their attacking options, despite recently signing Florian Thauvin.
Lens have reportedly made contact with the player’s representatives, although no formal offer has yet been submitted to Brighton.
Competition for his signature is strong. Brest are believed to be exploring the possibility of bringing Sima back to Brittany, while in Germany, both Augsburg and Wolfsburg have shown interest.
In England, Premier League side Brentford are understood to be considering him, and several Championship clubs have also been linked.
Brighton’s German head coach, Fabian Hürzeler, is not expected to include Sima in his first-team plans, making a transfer likely before the window closes.
However, with multiple clubs involved and negotiations still at an early stage, the final destination of the Senegalese forward remains uncertain.
If Sima does secure a move, it would mark the end of a challenging chapter at Brighton and give him the opportunity to revive his career with regular first-team football.
