Senegalese football sensation Amara Diouf has been struck by personal tragedy following the death of his father, Hady Diouf, who was also a respected local football trainer. The devastating news was confirmed by AS Pikine, a club closely associated with the Diouf family, in a statement shared on social media.

“It is with sadness that we announce the death of Mr. Hady Diouf,” the club wrote, expressing condolences to the family and wider Senegalese football community.

Hady Diouf played a pivotal role in shaping the career of his 16-year-old son, who is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in African football.

Amara, a standout performer for Génération Foot and the Senegal national team, has already made history by winning the U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and setting a record as the top scorer in a single tournament edition with five goals.

Beyond his contributions as a father, Hady Diouf had a direct influence on Amara’s development as a player. He was deeply involved in navigating the complexities of his son’s burgeoning career.

In November, Hady secured a legal ruling allowing Amara to leave Génération Foot at the conclusion of his contract in June 2025.

This came amid the club’s efforts to extend the young star’s stay until 2028 in hopes of securing a lucrative transfer deal with European clubs.

Relying on FIFA’s regulations limiting the duration of contracts for minors to three years, Hady Diouf was reportedly focused on facilitating Amara’s move to a top-tier European club.

The teenager has already attracted interest from global football giants, including Manchester City, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and FC Barcelona.

Amara’s loss is shared not only by his family but also by the Senegalese football fraternity, which has watched his meteoric rise with pride.

His father’s death marks a significant emotional blow during a critical phase in his career.

The thoughts and prayers of the football community remain with Amara Diouf and his family as they navigate this difficult time.

His resilience both on and off the pitch will undoubtedly honor the legacy of his late father, who was instrumental in shaping his remarkable journey.
