Senegalese Football Federation launches commission overhaul ahead of Brazil friendly
The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has officially launched the installation of its commissions while the national team prepares in London for its friendly against Brazil.
President Abdoulaye Fall and his team aim to finalize a project long anticipated by the football community.
More than three months after winning the August presidential elections, Fall, who replaced Augustin Senghor, is taking decisive steps to structure the federation.
He is working closely with key advisors to implement the plan approved by the Executive Committee. Among the officials involved are Babacar Ndiaye, 1st Vice-President; Amadou Kane, 4th Vice-President; Ndiambé Diop, representing Ligue 2 clubs; Cheikh Seck, 6th Vice-President; and Bacary Cissé, Bamba Ba, Elimane Lam, and Moustapha Biteye.
Their task focuses on formalizing commissions responsible for marketing, finance, and communication.
Bacary Cissé will lead the communications committee, maintaining his central role in the federation.
Meanwhile, Kara Thioune may step down from his current position, with Bamba Kassé, present in London, expected to take over as Media Officer.
Kassé, however, tempered expectations, stating, “I haven’t been informed of any decision yet.”
The post of National Technical Director (DTN) remains vacant following the departure of Mayacine Mar, who now serves as a technical advisor to the FSF and is accompanying the delegation in London.
The federation plans to launch a call for applications in the coming days to fill this strategic role.
The FSF’s commission overhaul marks a significant organizational shift aimed at strengthening governance and operational efficiency.
With the national team preparing for high-profile matches like the Brazil friendly, the federation intends to ensure that administrative structures support both immediate performance objectives and long-term development goals.
