Senegalese defender Abdoulaye Niakhaté Ndiaye sset for Parma switch after completing medical
Abdoulaye Niakhaté Ndiaye has successfully completed his medical with Parma, paving the way for the Senegalese centre-back’s transfer from ESTAC Troyes to be finalised in the coming days.
The 23-year-old is poised to make his first move to Italian football, marking the next chapter in a career that has taken him from Dakar Sacré-Cœur to several clubs across France, including Olympique Lyonnais, SC Bastia, and Stade Brestois.
Ndiaye is expected to become Parma’s first signing of the summer window, with the deal reportedly valued at around €7 million.
Ndiaye arrived in Italy on Friday and wasted no time in undergoing routine medical checks with the Serie A side. The outcome of those examinations was positive, clearing the final hurdle before the official announcement of his transfer to the Gialloblù.
The central defender’s anticipated arrival comes as Parma look to strengthen their defensive line ahead of the new campaign in Italy’s top flight. Ndiaye’s move is seen as a significant addition to their squad, given his blend of youth, physical presence, and experience in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.
Originally developed at Dakar Sacré-Cœur, Ndiaye moved to France where he honed his skills at Olympique Lyonnais, although he did not feature in the club’s senior team in Ligue 1.
His loan spell at Bastia gave him regular playing time, which led to a transfer to Troyes, where he gained further top-flight experience. At Stade Brestois and Troyes, he demonstrated solid composure and aerial strength, traits that have drawn attention from clubs beyond France’s borders.
With his transfer to Parma now all but complete, Ndiaye will become the latest Senegalese talent to test his abilities in one of Europe’s most competitive leagues.
Parma, recently promoted to Serie A, are looking to build a competitive squad capable of consolidating their place in the top tier, and Ndiaye’s profile appears to fit well with the club’s current ambitions.
Though neither club has made a formal announcement yet, the confirmation is expected imminently, with contractual details believed to have been settled. The deal marks a key milestone for Ndiaye, who now takes a major step forward in his professional journey.
As he prepares to begin a new chapter in Italy, Ndiaye joins a growing list of African players making their mark in Serie A. Parma supporters will be eager to see how the Boune-born defender adapts to the demands of Italian football, and whether he can bring solidity to the heart of their back line.
With the medical successfully completed and personal terms reportedly agreed, all that remains is the official unveiling of Abdoulaye Niakhaté Ndiaye as a Parma player.
