Abdoulaye Ndiaye has set his sights on making a strong impression in Serie A following his move to Parma from French side Troyes.

The 23-year-old Senegalese centre-back was officially presented by the club on Thursday as their first signing of the summer. Speaking at the Mutti Training Centre in Collecchio, Ndiaye expressed his appreciation to Parma and outlined his ambitions for the season ahead.

“My first words are to thank Parma for choosing me,” he said. “It’s a historic club, and I’m very happy to be here.”

Ndiaye joins a squad brimming with youthful energy, guided by a coaching staff that places strong emphasis on both individual progress and collective cohesion. He believes the environment at Parma will allow him to grow as a player and contribute meaningfully to the team’s objectives.

“Parma is a special team,” he said. “The coach is a perfect example of the philosophy here. I want to bring strength and dynamism, and I want to keep learning. That’s what I’m here for.”

His move to Italy marks the beginning of a new phase in his professional journey, one that he believes will test him and help him evolve in a league known for its tactical precision.

“Serie A is a very tactical league that really values defenders,” Ndiaye said. “That’s exactly the kind of environment I need to improve. I’ve already spoken to a few former teammates about what to expect.”

The defender is conscious of the challenges that come with stepping into Italian football, especially in a role that demands discipline, tactical awareness, and reliability. However, he is confident in his ability to rise to the occasion.

“I’ll do everything I can to establish myself,” he said. “I’ve gained experience in other leagues, but I know there’s still a lot for me to learn here.”

Ndiaye also acknowledged the importance of focusing on defensive fundamentals as he integrates into Parma’s backline.

“In Italy, defence always comes first,” he noted. “We need to build a strong base, and I’m already receiving a lot of support from the staff. I’m ready to give everything I have.”

Now embarking on his first spell in Serie A, the former Troyes player is determined to make the most of the opportunity and repay the faith Parma have shown in him.

“I’m here to show my qualities through hard work and determination,” he added. “I want to justify the trust placed in me by performing on the pitch.”

With a grounded mindset and a clear sense of purpose, Ndiaye is preparing to write the next chapter of his career in Italy, driven by humility, focus, and a desire to grow.
