Senegalese defender Abdoulaye Faye is on the verge of completing his move to Bayer Leverkusen.

The youngster on Thursday, June 26, completed his mandatory medical examination ahead of the proposed move.

With the medical examination ending successfully, Abdoulaye Faye is now set to seal his move on Friday, June 27.

The 20-year-old is moving to the German Bundesliga club from Swedish outfit BK Hacken.

Faye, a highly-rated young centre-back, is viewed by Leverkusen as a player with significant potential for long-term development.

While the move is permanent, the club intends to give the 20-year-old time to continue progressing.

Leverkusen plans to loan Faye out immediately after completing the transfer, allowing him to gain valuable first-team experience at a higher level.

The destination of the loan has yet to be confirmed, with several options currently under consideration.

The Senegalese youngster is excited about the move and hopes to use his time at Bayern Leverkusen to take his career to the next level.
