Senegal youngster Lamine Camara set for lengthy spell on sidelines with injury
Senegal international Lamine Camara is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines following a worrying injury setback at Monaco.
The 21-year-old young midfielder becomes the latest player at Monaco to be struck by injury after captain Denis Zakaria, Aleksandr Golovin.
Camara has suffered an ankle sprain and is expected to be out of action for about two months. The setback is a major blow for the French Ligue 1 outfit, who are determined to make impact in the current football campaign.
Before this injury, Camara had made five appearances in the French top-flight for Monaco this season, registering three crucial assists for the club.
The talented has established himself as a key member of the Monaco squad since his arrival at the club back in 2024. However, the injury come as a huge blow for him and the club at large.
Meanwhile, Monaco are currently considering the recruitment of a “joker” or a free agent in order to compensate for the absences in their midfield.
The 21-year-old has 23 appearances for the Senegal national team, racking up six goals across the period.
