Senegal name starting XI for must-win Women’s Africa Cup of Nations meeting with Morocco

Senegal face Morocco in a decisive Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2026 Group A fixture tonight, with the match serving as the third and final game of the group stage.

Both coaching staffs have confirmed their starting line-ups for the important meeting. Senegal head coach Mame Moussa Cisse has made two changes to the side that started the previous match.

Anta Dembele comes into the defence in place of Adama Sane, while Ndeye Awa Diakhate is selected in midfield instead of Bineta Korkel Seck.

The changes represent the only alterations to Senegal’s starting team announced for the game. Cisse has therefore opted to adjust his side in two areas as Senegal prepare for the final group fixture against Morocco.

Senegal’s starting line-up is:

Adji Ndiaye, Mareme Babou, Woulimata Ndiaye, Mbayang Sow, Anta Dembele, Aissatou Fall, Ndeye Awa Diakhate, Sokhna Nogaye Pene, Seynabou Mbengue, Nguenar Ndiaye and Ndeye Awa Casset.

Anta Dembele’s inclusion gives her the opportunity to begin in defence, replacing Adama Sane. In the middle of the pitch, Ndeye Awa Diakhate has been preferred to Bineta Korkel Seck for a match Senegal cannot afford to approach casually.

Morocco have also confirmed their starting XI for the contest. Their selected team is:

K. Er-Rmichi, Z. Redouani, N. Benzina, E. Nakkach, G. Chebbak, I. Jraidi, M. Atiq, H. Ait El Haj, S. Mssoudy, S. Ouzraoui and Y. M’Rabet.

The two sides meet on the final day of Group A, meaning there is no further group-stage fixture after tonight’s game. Senegal’s players will therefore have to deliver in this meeting with Morocco as they seek to determine their fate in the competition.

The Senegalese team includes Adji Ndiaye, Mareme Babou, Woulimata Ndiaye and Mbayang Sow, with Anta Dembele also brought into the starting side. Aissatou Fall, Ndeye Awa Diakhate, Sokhna Nogaye Pene and Seynabou Mbengue feature in midfield and the attacking options, alongside Nguenar Ndiaye and Ndeye Awa Casset.

Morocco’s announced line-up features K. Er-Rmichi, Z. Redouani and N. Benzina, with E. Nakkach and G. Chebbak also named. I. Jraidi, M. Atiq and H. Ait El Haj are included, while S. Mssoudy, S. Ouzraoui and Y. M’Rabet complete the starting team.

With the group stage reaching its conclusion, the confirmed selections now set the scene for a high-stakes meeting between Senegal and Morocco in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2026.
