SENEGAL: JACQUES SANTINI AND ALAIN GIRESSE ON HOLD FOR THE POSITION OF COACH

The Senegalese Football Federation is considering French coaches Jacques Santini and Alain Giresse among the candidates to replace Joseph Koto as the head coach of the Teranga Lions. French coaches have left a significant impact on Senegal’s football over the past 30 years, with notable figures like Bruno Metsu guiding the team to the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup in 2002. The federation is looking to foreign coaches to lead the team, but financial considerations may pose a challenge in attracting top candidates. Five coaches are currently in contention for the position.
