Senegal Football Federation disburses $1 million to 458 clubs

The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has commenced the disbursement of financial subsidies to clubs participating in official competitions for the 2025-26 season, marking a significant step in supporting the country’s football infrastructure.

Announced via the federation’s social media platforms, the package totals over $1 million and is set to benefit 458 clubs across Senegal. This initiative, previously promised by FSF officials, aims to strengthen club operations and ensure the smooth running of national competitions.

In addition to the main subsidies, the federation has also released transport allowances for clubs competing this season, amounting to more than $136,000. These funds are expected to cover logistical costs, easing travel burdens for teams participating in league and cup fixtures across the country.

“The Senegalese Football Federation is committed to providing sustainable support to clubs at all levels,” the FSF stated. “These payments reaffirm our dedication to the development of football in Senegal and the smooth conduct of competitions nationwide.”

Club officials have welcomed the move, noting that the financial injection will help cover operational expenses, improve player welfare, and support long-term development projects. Analysts say the subsidies are a positive signal that Senegalese football is moving toward a more professional and stable domestic system.

With these payments now underway, the federation has demonstrated a proactive approach to nurturing grassroots and professional football, providing a much-needed boost ahead of the current season.
