Sekhukhune United sign former Asante Kotoko captain Samba O’Neil

Sekhukhune United have completed the signing of Congolese-born Niger international Samba O’Neil from Asante Kotoko on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old defender joins after captaining the Ghanaian club and playing a key role in their recent success. O’Neil helped Asante Kotoko win the Ghana FA Cup and the 2025 Toyota Cup.

He was also named Asante Kotoko’s Player of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign.

The move represents another addition for Babina Noko, who have been among the busiest clubs during the latest transfer window.

Sekhukhune United are continuing to strengthen their squad as they attempt to improve their position in the league standings.
