In the 13th week fixtures of the second division football league, the Upper Egypt group witnessed several surprises, with the most notable being the 1-1 draw between Faiyum and Tersana, with both goals scored from penalties.
This result elevated Faiyum’s tally to 20 points and Tersana’s to 30 points, leading to the postponement of Tersana Club’s celebration of promotion to the professional league by four weeks.
Meanwhile, Minya Club clinched a 2-0 victory over Tameya Youth Center.
Karim Hassan scored both goals, with the first coming in the 15th minute of the first half and Abdulrahman Fadl sealing the win in the final moments of stoppage time.
This victory propelled Minya to 19 points while Tameya’s tally halted at 14 points.
In another match, Shabab Mughaga held Nogoom Misr to a goalless draw, with both teams now standing at 8 and 18 points, respectively.
Furthermore, Al Wasat secured a narrow 1-0 win over Beni Mazar, boosting their points to 9 and lifting them from the bottom of the group standings.
Beni Mazar’s points remained at 10.
After the conclusion of the 13th week fixtures, Tersana Club continues to lead the group with 30 points, followed by Faiyum with 20 points, Minya with 19 points, Nogoom Misr with 18 points, Tameya with 14 points, Beni Mazar with 10 points, Telephones of Beni Suef with 10 points, Al Wasat with 9 points, and Shabab Mughaga with 8 points.
