German club FC Schalke 04 have completed the signing of Germany-born midfielder of Moroccan descent, Soufiane El-Faouzi.
The club announced the acquisition of the youngster in an official statement on Thursday, June 19.
“FC Schalke 04 have completed the transfer of Soufiane El-Faouzi. The hard-working midfielder has agreed a contract valid until 30th June 2029. El-Faouzi played 36 times for Alemannia Aachen in the 3. Liga last season, scoring three goals and recording seven assists. Both clubs have agreed that the details of the transfer will remain undisclosed,” the German club said in its statement.
The new signing is expected to provide a major squad boost to the Schalke 04 team for the 2025/26 football season and beyond.
El-Faouzi covered the most ground of all players in Germany’s top three professional leagues in 2024/25, as well as contesting the most duels.
Before joining Aachen, the 22-year-old played for the reserve sides of SC Paderborn 07 and Fortuna Düsseldorf.
Soufiane El-Faouzi is excited about his move and has indicated that he cannot wait to get started.
