Jorge Jesus, the coach of Saudi club Al Hilal, has decided to exclude Moroccan international goalkeeper Yassine Bounou from the upcoming clash against Al Ittihad Jeddah in the AFC Champions League quarter-finals scheduled for today, Tuesday.
The decision follows the Portuguese coach’s selection of foreign players for his team’s encounter with Saudi rivals Al Ittihad. Jesus opted for Colidio, Savic, Malcom, Navas, and Mitrovic.
Al Hilal’s coach preferred to rely on a local goalkeeper in tomorrow’s match against Al Ittihad Jeddah to ensure the inclusion of five foreign players in the game.
The regulations of the Asian Football Confederation stipulate that each team can field only five foreign players in their squad during AFC Champions League matches.
