Efforts are underway by Saudi Arabian league officials to bring Mohamed Salah to the Saudi Professional League, despite the failed attempt last summer when he was very close to joining Al-Ittihad Saudi Club.
Al-Hilal, the most popular Saudi club, is seeking to secure the signature of the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool forward, to bolster the ranks of “Al-Zaeem,” the club’s nickname in Saudi Arabia, according to Saudi sports media.
In the past few hours, more than one Saudi media figure has indicated that the Egyptian star is close to joining the first-team squad of Al-Hilal Saudi Club.
Sports commentator Abdulaziz Al-Osaimi wrote on his official account on the “X” platform: “Mohamed Salah, a Hilali player next season,” commenting on news that officials at the club are in contact with the Egyptian player.

Additionally, sports presenter Bandar Al-Ruzaihan, in statements to the program “Al-Diwaneya,” announced that the Saudi team is on its way to signing Salah.
Al-Ruzaihan stated that Al-Hilal might soon announce the final agreement with Salah to join the first-team football.
Earlier, Anmar Al-Haili, the president of Al-Ittihad Jeddah Saudi Club, revealed surprising information about the transfer deal of the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah from Liverpool to his club.
Al-Haili stated in statements on MBC screen earlier, “I concluded everything with Mohamed Salah and the Liverpool administration when I was in London, and in the end, the Investment Fund informed us that there is no budget for the deal.”
He added, “Al-Ittihad wanted to sign Gündoğan after the end of his contract with the first football team of Manchester City before moving to Barcelona.”
Mohamed Salah has shone in the Liverpool jersey over six consecutive seasons.
The Egyptian international, Mohamed Salah, leads the Premier League’s top scorers’ table with 14 goals, tied with Erling Haaland, the Manchester City striker, despite his absence from the tournament before the twenty-first round due to his participation with the Pharaohs in the Africa Cup of Nations “CAN 2023.”
