Turki Al-Sheikh, the Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, has predicted a commanding victory for Al Ahly over Zamalek in Friday’s Egyptian Cup final, scheduled to take place in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Speaking at a musical event held on Thursday evening in Riyadh, Al-Sheikh expressed his hopes for a match befitting the stature of the two prestigious clubs, one that the fans would thoroughly enjoy.
“We are open to collaboration in the coming period… The prizes for the Egyptian Cup final have reached unprecedented figures, with millions of dollars invested to ensure the event lives up to the history of the two teams,” Al-Sheikh remarked.
Al-Sheikh further announced that the winner of the match would receive a trophy made of pure gold, with commemorative gifts for the fans attending the encounter.
During the event, Al-Sheikh warmly received several Egyptian football stars, including Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, his coaching staff, officials from the Egyptian Football Association, as well as former players from both Al Ahly and Zamalek.
Al-Sheikh took special care to inquire about the health of Moamen Zakaria, a former star of both Al Ahly and Zamalek, who has been battling a rare illness that has sidelined him from football activities.
