Saudi Clubs and West Ham battle for Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri

Fenerbahçe striker Youssef En-Nesyri is attracting serious interest from multiple clubs, with Saudi side Al-Ettifaq reportedly preparing an official bid for the Moroccan international ahead of the summer transfer window.

Turkish media sources indicate that Al-Ettifaq are determined to strengthen their attacking line and have set their sights firmly on the 26-year-old forward.

The Saudi Pro League outfit is said to be ready to initiate negotiations with Fenerbahçe, confident that they can lure En-Nesyri away from Istanbul.

En-Nesyri, who only recently joined the Turkish giants, appears to be at the centre of a growing transfer tug-of-war. Al-Ettifaq are not the only Saudi club monitoring his situation, with Al-Nasr also showing renewed interest.

The Riyadh-based team had previously explored the possibility of signing the Morocco international during the last winter transfer window but failed to secure a deal. With the summer market approaching, they may return with a more determined approach.

Beyond Saudi Arabia, there is also significant interest from the Premier League. West Ham United, long-time admirers of En-Nesyri, are reportedly revisiting their pursuit of the striker.

According to Turkish outlet ISCI Haber, the London club is keen to bring the Moroccan to England and sees him as an ideal fit to bolster their attacking options.

En-Nesyri’s uncertain future at Fenerbahçe has only added fuel to the speculation. It is believed that he no longer features prominently in manager José Mourinho’s long-term plans, opening the door for potential suitors to make their move.

West Ham, in particular, are hoping to capitalise on the situation and finally land a player they have been targeting for several years.

The Hammers have previously attempted to sign En-Nesyri in both 2021 and 2024, but negotiations on both occasions failed to reach a successful conclusion.

Despite those setbacks, West Ham’s interest has not waned. The club’s hierarchy is reportedly preparing a fresh offer worth €35 million in a bid to finally bring the forward to the Premier League.

With his future at Fenerbahçe in question and interest mounting from both Saudi Arabia and England, En-Nesyri could be set for another move just a year after arriving in Turkey.

The coming weeks promise to be pivotal, as negotiations begin to take shape and the race to sign the Moroccan intensifies.

As it stands, Al-Ettifaq appear to be leading the Saudi charge, but with Al-Nasr potentially re-entering the fray and West Ham determined to break the deadlock, En-Nesyri’s next destination remains far from certain. What is clear, however, is that the striker is set to be one of the most talked-about names of the summer window.
