Reports from British newspapers have indicated that Saudi club Al Ittihad Jeddah is preparing an astronomical offer to secure the services of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah from Liverpool in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Al Ittihad Saudi Club is reportedly tempting Mohamed Salah to join them in the next summer transfer window with an extraordinary offer and a staggering salary, aiming for him to don the Dean’s jersey following the conclusion of his current season with the Reds.
Last summer, Al Ittihad Jeddah failed to convince Salah to join them, as Liverpool remained adamant about retaining his services.
Negotiations have resumed, especially with Salah’s contract with the prestigious British club set to expire in the summer of 2025.
According to The Athletic, Al Ittihad Jeddah has renewed its interest in acquiring Mohamed Salah’s services by preparing an offer worth €235 million, aiming to lure Liverpool into parting ways with their star player.
The network also indicated that Mohamed Salah would receive a salary of up to €85 million per season, surpassing the earnings of the national team star with Liverpool by fourfold.
If the deal with Al Ittihad Jeddah goes through, Mohamed Salah would become the most expensive player in the history of football, surpassing the transfer value of Brazilian Neymar da Silva from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain for €222 million in 2017.
The potential move of Salah to Al Ittihad Jeddah would mark a significant milestone in football history, underscoring the growing financial power and ambition of clubs in the Middle East.
