The head coach of Ceramica Cleopatra Ayman El-Ramady, has dismissed claims that his club has received any official offers from Zamalek for the acquisition of Mohamed Shokry.
In an interview with Sada El-Balad channel, El-Ramady wittily remarked, “I don’t believe Zamalek has asked for Mohamed Shokry unless I’m the last to know. If they contact me to inquire about my opinion, I will refuse the departure of the player because I am in desperate need of his services, unless, of course, the financial offer cannot be refused.”
He continued, “The recruitment or loaning of a player is not solely the decision of the coach but is aligned with the club’s strategy.
Let’s assume, for instance, that we receive an offer of 3 million euros; it would be challenging to reject, and if I were to refuse, I would be going against the club.”
El-Ramady’s response adds a touch of humor to the ongoing transfer saga, downplaying the seriousness of the supposed interest from Zamalek.
His clever retort emphasizes the importance of financial considerations in football decisions, suggesting that even the coach’s stance could be swayed by a compelling offer.
As the winter transfer window unfolds, the twists and turns in the football transfer market continue to provide entertainment both on and off the field.
