The Professional Clubs Association has released the sanctions for the first round of the group stage matches in the 2023-24 edition of the League Cup.
The first round matches took place from January 8 to January 10.
Here is a breakdown of the penalties:
Al Ittihad vs. Ismaily Match:
– Hamad Ibrahim, Ismaily’s assistant coach, suspended for one match due to dismissal for protesting against the referee.
Al Masry vs. Arab Contractors Match:
– Talaat Mahram, the head coach of Arab Contractors, suspended for one match for expulsion due to dissent against the referee.
Pyramids vs. Farco Match:
– Ahmed Fathy, Pyramids’ player, suspended for one match for receiving two yellow cards in a single match.
Ceramica Cleopatra vs. Enppi Match:
– Mohamed Nasser, Enppi’s player, suspended for one match for a red card offense of denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
– Salah Zayed, Enppi’s player, suspended for four matches and fined EGP 20,000 for unsporting behavior towards the referee.
The second round matches are scheduled for January 15, 16, and 17.
As for the third round matches, they will be held on January 24 and 26.
