Sami Trabelsi has placed his trust in a mix of familiar names and fresh faces as Tunisia gears up for two testing games against Egypt in September.
The coach believes these matches will serve as an important step in preparing the Carthage Eagles for the 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar.
Trabelsi confirmed his squad for the September camp, where Tunisia will face Helmy Toulan’s Egypt side on September 6 and 9 in Ismailia. “The focus is on giving our players the right preparation for the tournament ahead,” he said.
During this phase, the team will also be guided by Eid Al-Hay Ben Sultan and Aymen Al-Balbouli, with Trabelsi expected to lead from the bench. His call-up includes reliable figures like midfielder Ghilan Chaalali and defender Mohamed Dragher, alongside promising talents eager to prove themselves.
The 26-man squad is spread across all areas, with Abdel Salam Al-Halawi among the goalkeepers and Khalil Al-Ayari leading the attack. For Tunisia, these games are more than friendlies, they are a chance to build momentum and sharpen their edge for December’s Arab Cup.
