Samba Boye Coulibaly takes Senegalese defensive step with Raufoss move

Eighteen-year-old Senegalese centre-back Samba Boye Coulibaly has joined Norwegian club Raufoss, moving from Academy Mawade Wade to begin a new chapter in the OBOS-ligaen.

Coulibaly’s move was completed on 2 September 2026, marking his first recorded club change from the Senegalese academy to Raufoss. The defender now becomes part of a club competing in Norway’s professional league system, with the transfer adding an overseas move to the early stages of his career.

Born on 13 November 2007, Coulibaly arrives at Raufoss at the age of 18. He is listed specifically as a centre-back, giving the Norwegian club a young player for the central defensive position. His nationality is Senegalese, while his previous footballing home was Academy Mawade Wade.

Academy Mawade Wade is the club Coulibaly leaves behind after his development there. The move to Raufoss represents a change in both club and country, taking him from Senegal to Norway for the 2026-27 season.
