Former Zamalek defender Salah Soliman believes the Royal Club has what it takes to turn things around and lift the league trophy this season.
While the club is facing tough times and strong competition, he sees hope in the team’s spirit and talent.
“Zamalek is always in the competition, but the atmosphere, circumstances, and pressures are what created the club’s current suffering. Despite all the circumstances, the club is rich in its sons, fans, and players, and the team has a unique opportunity to isolate itself and return to competition,” Salah Soliman said in a radio interview.
He admitted that things aren’t perfect at the club right now, especially in terms of tactics and coaching, but pointed to the strength of the squad.
“The technical aspects are not the best at Zamalek, and Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro does not guarantee that the team will win the league, but Zamalek has distinguished players, most notably Abdullah El-Said and Nasser Maher,” he added.
The club’s loyal fans now wait to see if Soliman’s confidence will inspire a championship run.
