Officials at Al Ahly are on the verge of finalizing the sale of Salah Mohsen, the striker for the Red Castle, to Ceramica during the current winter transfer window.
This follows an official offer from Ceramica to secure the player’s services.
Salah Mohsen had played on loan for Ceramica last season, delivering impressive performances.
However, Al Ahly decided to recall him and register him at the beginning of the current season.
Unfortunately, he quickly fell out of favor with Marcelo Gallardo, the head coach, prompting Al Ahly’s management to approve his permanent departure through a conclusive sale.
In recent days, Al Ahly received offers from both Ceramica and National Bank, but Ceramica’s offer, being the more financially lucrative, seems to be the front runner.
Additionally, the player himself prefers returning to Ceramica in the upcoming season.
Al Ahly’s officials are currently in discussions regarding the presented offers for Salah Mohsen’s services.
This deliberation is part of the ongoing winter transfer window, as the player no longer features in Marcel Koller’s plans.
The coach has given the green light for Mohsen to leave, either through a permanent sale or another loan, considering the club’s lack of need for his contributions in the upcoming phase.
Despite receiving numerous opportunities with the team since the beginning of the current season, Salah Mohsen failed to capitalize on them after returning from his loan spell at Ceramica in the previous season.
The player has attracted offers recently, most notably from Ceramica, which is keen on having him back.
Salah Mohsen is inclined towards a permanent transfer and rejects the idea of another loan stint.
He had been loaned out multiple times before to clubs like Smouha and Ceramica.
Notably, he declined to be part of a swap deal with Modern Future Club in exchange for Al Ahly signing Omar Kamal Abdelwahed.
