Chelsea are being linked with a move for Marseille teenager Saïd Remadnia, with the Premier League club reported to be tracking the 16-year-old left winger from the French side’s U19 set-up.

The Algerian-French youngster, who currently plays for Marseille U19 in the Championnat National U19 Group D, is the subject of fresh speculation suggesting Chelsea are exploring the possibility of bringing him to England. The likelihood of any transfer remains unclear, with the rumour carrying a reported probability of “?” and no indication yet of formal negotiations.

Remadnia, born on 27 March 2009 and already promoted quickly through Marseille’s youth ranks, is regarded as an attacking prospect who operates primarily on the left wing but prefers his right foot. Having stepped up from Olympique Marseille Youth to the U17s in 2024 before moving into the U19 squad in 2025, his accelerated pathway has not gone unnoticed by scouts across Europe.

With no contract expiry date listed and no market value currently recorded – his valuation is noted as “None” – there is further uncertainty around what kind of deal might be required to prise him away from Marseille, or whether a future free-agent scenario could come into play if no long-term agreement is reached.

Remadnia has experience only within the Marseille structure so far, featuring at youth level for Olympique Marseille Youth, then Marseille U17 and now Marseille U19, and is also listed with Olympique Marseille U19 as his national-team-age-group side. His dual nationality, representing both Algeria and France, may also attract interest from clubs mindful of future international eligibility.

No individual match performances, scorelines or standout displays are recorded in the available data, leaving Chelsea and any other suitors to rely heavily on scouting rather than headline statistics for their assessments.

Should the move ever materialise, a switch from Marseille’s academy to Chelsea would represent a major step in Remadnia’s development, potentially accelerating his rise from youth prospect to senior-level contender on one of European football’s biggest stages.
