Head coach of the Rwandan national team, Adel Amrouche has expressed his displeasure about lack of playing time for goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari at Kaizer Chiefs.

Despite being the number shot stopper for Rwanda, the 26-year-old goalkeeper has fallen down the pecking at Kaizer Chiefs.

Fiacre Ntwari has played second fiddle to Amakhosi’s Brandon Petersen this season, with the Rwanda marksman starting only once for Chiefs in the Carling Knockout this season.

According to Amrouche, a keeper of Ntwari calibre should not be kept on the bench, urging Kaizer Chiefs to release the goalkeeper.

“I had a good discussion with Ilyes [Mzoughi], the [goalkeeper] coach of Kaizer Chiefs,” the Algerian told journalists. “Fiacre is one of the best goalkeepers in Africa,” he said.

“But I think if you don’t let him play, let him go because it’s better not to stop the quality for one person like Fiacre,” Amrouche concluded on the former TS Galaxy superstar.

Since making his debut for Rwanda in 2021, Fiacre Ntwari has made 2 appearances for the national team.
