The 2012-2013 rugby union season in Senegal will see a reduction in the number of elite championship clubs from 12 to 6. The season will consist of two phases, starting with a mixing phase involving 10 teams in 2 groups of 5. This phase will determine the two divisions and will be played between November 3 and December 16, 2012. The top 3 teams from each group will join Division 1, while the bottom 2 will play in Division 2. The second phase, starting on January 4, 2013, will consist of two-way matches in Division 1 (6 clubs) and Division 2 (4 clubs). The groups for the start of the season are based on the rankings at the end of the 2011-2012 season.
