Moroccan giants RS Berkane have set their sights on signing Al Ahly defender Achraf Dari ahead of the new season.
The former Wydad Athletic Club centre-back is reportedly considering a move away from the Egyptian powerhouse due to limited playing opportunities since his arrival.
Berkane view Dari as an ideal replacement for long-serving captain Youssoufou Dayo, who recently parted ways with the club after more than a decade of service.
Despite Berkane’s strong interest, a deal remains uncertain, as sources close to the player indicate that Dari is currently reluctant to return to Moroccan football.
Nonetheless, the club’s management is actively pursuing defensive reinforcements.
The departure of Adel Tahaif to Qatari side Umm Salal has created a void in Berkane’s backline, prompting an urgent search for experienced options ahead of the upcoming campaign.
