The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (RMFF) and the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health are jointly organizing the inaugural football medicine symposium at the Sports Medicine and Performance Development Center at the Mohammed VI Football Complex from January 4 to 6.

This pioneering symposium, overseen by experts in sports medicine, encompasses educational sessions, including seminars tailored for physicians from both the first and second divisions of the professional league, in addition to the medical staff of national teams.

The proceedings of this symposium will delve into the medical conditions affecting both professional and amateur players, featuring presentations by Dr. Christophe Bodo, the Medical Director of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health.

This symposium marks one of the objectives outlined in the framework agreement signed last November between the RMFF and the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health.

The collaboration aims to enhance the healthcare sector within sports medicine through continuous training for physicians affiliated with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.

The ultimate goal is to increase the number of specialists in the field of medicine, sports research, and performance.

Looking ahead, a second symposium on football medicine is scheduled for the National Women’s Football League clubs.

This initiative aims to develop further training programs, expanding the scope of sports medicine development by 2030.

The symposium serves as a testament to the commitment of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health in elevating the standards of sports medicine, ensuring the health and well-being of football players across Morocco.
