The Royal Army football team has secured its place in the quarterfinals of the Throne Cup after defeating Nahdat Zemamra 2-1 at the Municipal Stadium in Kenitra.
The home side opened the scoring early on, with Amin Zehzouh finding the back of the net in the fourth minute with a powerful strike that deceived goalkeeper Marwan Fakhr.
Nahdat Zemamra squandered several chances in the first half, with Zakaria Bahraoui and Abdelwahed Fourssi unable to capitalize.
At the start of the second half, Youssef Arabidi doubled the lead in the 55th minute following a pass from Rabii Herramati.
However, Nahdat Zemamra managed to pull one back, with Mahmoud Benhlaib scoring their first goal in the 72nd minute.
In the quarterfinals, the Royal Army will face Olympique Dcheira next Wednesday.
