Romeo Amane: Rapid Vienna midfielder linked with Anderlecht move
Ivory Coast midfielder Romeo Amane is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a move from Rapid Vienna to Belgian club RSC Anderlecht.
The 23-year-old central midfielder joined Rapid from Swedish club BK Hacken in January 2025 for €1.3m and remains under contract with the Austrian side until 30 June 2029.
Amane has made three Bundesliga appearances for Rapid this season, providing one assist, and has also featured four times in the qualifying rounds of the Uefa Conference League. He has started 50% of Rapid’s league matches and played 44% of the available Bundesliga minutes.
The reported link comes with Amane’s current market value listed at €5m. Any move would take him from Austria’s Bundesliga to the Jupiler Pro League, where Anderlecht are among Belgium’s most prominent clubs.
Amane began his senior career with Hacken after leaving Ivory Coast club Mimosas’ under-19 side in 2021. During his time in Sweden, he won the Swedish league title in 2022 and lifted the Swedish Cup twice, in 2023 and 2025.
He has continued to be involved in Rapid’s first-team campaign in 2026-27, appearing in both domestic and European competition. The reported interest from Anderlecht comes with the midfielder tied to Rapid for nearly three more seasons.
