Napoli’s powerhouse striker Romelu Lukaku has thrown down the gauntlet in the race for the Serie A title, spotlighting Inter as the team to beat while fueling his own Scudetto ambitions.
Speaking to Radio CRC ahead of the season’s thrilling climax, Lukaku didn’t shy away from the challenge posed by the league leaders.
“Inter are as everyone thinks the favorite for this championship. They have a great rose and of great quality, we must be honest. For us it is a dream in the end, we must push every day and mentally be ready.”
The Belgian star, no stranger to success, reflected on the hunger driving him forward. “Winning once is good, winning the second time is better and the third even more. It is a conversation that I had with Conte, of when he was a footballer. Every subsequent victory makes you enjoy even more.”
With Napoli trailing Inter by just three points, and Atalanta lurking in second, the title race is heating up.
Inter, under Simone Inzaghi, juggle Serie A, the Italian Cup, and Champions League, facing a grueling nine-match stretch through April’s end.
