Roma target Monaco defender Thilo Kehrer in Serie A transfer link
Thilo Kehrer, the German-Burundian defender at Monaco, has been linked with a move to Roma in Serie A.
The 29-year-old centre-back joined Monaco permanently from West Ham United in July 2024 after an initial loan spell at the French club. Monaco paid €11m for Kehrer, who had moved to West Ham from Paris Saint-Germain in 2022.
Kehrer has made one Ligue 1 appearance this season, playing one minute, while he has not featured in Monaco’s Conference League qualifying matches. The defender’s limited involvement so far comes as Roma are reported to be considering a move for him.
Kehrer remains under contract with Monaco until 30 June 2028, meaning any transfer would require an agreement between the two clubs rather than a free move. His current market value is listed at €12m.
He has previously won the Conference League with West Ham in 2023 and collected three Ligue 1 titles during his time with Paris Saint-Germain. The former Schalke player also formed part of Germany’s European Under-21 Championship-winning squad in 2017.
No transfer has been confirmed, and the link remains at the rumour stage. Kehrer’s immediate future is therefore still with Monaco, where his contract runs for two more seasons beyond the current campaign.
