Roma consider move for Parma midfielder Mandela Keita
Belgian-Guinean midfielder Mandela Keita is being linked with a move from Parma to Roma in Serie A.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder joined Parma from Royal Antwerp in August 2024 for a reported €11.9m and remains under contract until June 2029. Keita’s current market value is listed at €20m, a figure that could provide a reference point for any negotiations between the Italian clubs.
Keita has started both of Parma’s Serie A matches this season, playing 165 minutes without scoring or registering an assist. He also appeared in Parma’s Coppa Italia match, featuring for 24 minutes.
The player has established a career in Belgium and Italy after coming through the youth system at OH Leuven. He spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Royal Antwerp, helping the club win the Belgian title, before returning to Leuven and then joining Antwerp permanently in July 2024.
Parma signed Keita shortly afterwards, making him one of the club’s significant midfield investments. His contract gives Parma a long-term position as Roma assess a possible move within Serie A.
Keita’s previous honours include the Belgian Championship and Belgian Cup, both won with Antwerp in 2023. For now, he remains a Parma player, with his deal running through the end of the 2028-29 season.
