Joel Asoro, 25, could be on the move again after a challenging season at FC Metz.
The former Swansea winger, who joined the French club from Djurgården IF in the summer of 2023, is now being pursued by Croatian side Rijeka.
According to sources at Expressen, the Croatian top-flight club is eager to secure Asoro’s services in the January transfer window.
Despite a promising start, the Swedish-born Nigerian winger has struggled to find consistent form this season, managing only two starts out of 13 Ligue 2 appearances. His contribution, however, includes three goals and three assists in 37 games for Metz. Now, Rijeka’s interest in him could provide a fresh start and a chance to revive his career.
With the Croatian transfer window remaining open until February 17, negotiations could intensify as clubs look to bolster their squads. Joel Asoro’s market value stands at 1.2 million euros, according to transfermarkt, which could play a role in the discussions.
