Ricardo Formosinho, the head coach of Modern Future, emphasized the challenges of facing Al Ahly in the final of the Egyptian Super Cup for champions.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, he underscored the difficulty of the upcoming encounter but expressed confidence in his team’s ability to confront the formidable Al Ahly.
“Facing Al Ahly is challenging.
We are up against a team that has been competing in the Club World Cup just days ago, a team with the best players in Egypt.
We respect them a lot, but we believe that we can face them,” Formosinho stated.
Responding to a question about the defensive playing style, he commented, “We don’t rely on a specific style of play.
If we have possession, we attack, and vice versa.
We have a strategy that we will depend on against Al Ahly.”
Regarding the team’s injuries, Formosinho said, “I try to find solutions and not focus on problems.
The available players will be relied upon in the match.”
He concluded by affirming his knowledge of Al Ahly, acknowledging that the match won’t be easy for his team.
Still, he is determined to seek victory, highlighting Mahmoud Gennesh, the goalkeeper of Modern Future, as one of the best players he has coached.
The match is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Thursday, at the Mohamed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, kicking off at 7:00 PM Cairo time.
