Cheick M’Bengue Weighs Rennes Future Amid Interest from Bayer Leverkusen
Cheick M’Bengue’s future at Stade Rennais remains uncertain as the season nears its end. The Senegalese international has yet to make a final decision and is expected to hold talks with club officials in the coming days.
Speaking to the club’s official website, M’Bengue said: “We will meet soon to find out the club’s wishes and for me to share my intentions. There is a desire on both sides to continue the adventure.”
While a contract extension is on the table, a departure is not ruled out. Bayer Leverkusen has reportedly shown interest in the left-back and could offer him an opportunity to play in the Bundesliga next season. If the German club makes a formal offer, it could sway M’Bengue to pursue a new challenge abroad.
