Reda Slim has made his choice, and it won’t be a return to Moroccan football.

The Al Ahly forward has decided to seek a fresh start outside his home country, despite strong interest from local giants Wydad Casablanca, Raja Casablanca, and Nahdat Berkane.

Sources close to the situation say Slim is leaning toward a move to the Qatari league, where talks are already gaining pace.

His current club, Al Ahly, no longer sees him in their plans for the upcoming season and is actively exploring transfer options. However, Moroccan clubs hoping to bring the attacker back face two major hurdles.

“Al-Ahly’s financial demands, on the one hand, and Slim’s desire not to play in Morocco for any club other than the Royal Army, with whom he won the League Shield and the Throne Cup, are among the reasons for his failure to return to Morocco,” a source told Kooora.

Slim’s decision closes the door on a homecoming but opens a new chapter abroad, one driven by ambition, loyalty, and a vision that extends beyond familiar borders.
