Moroccan winger Reda Salim could soon be on his way to Qatar, as interest begins to stir around the skillful attacker’s future.
Though Al-Ahly has not yet received a formal offer from Qatar SC, talks may be inching closer behind the scenes.
An insider told Kooora that Salim’s agents recently spoke with sporting director Mohamed Youssef to test the waters for a potential switch. While no deal has been set in motion, the idea of a move is already in motion.
Salim, who is recovering from a long-term injury, is reportedly open to the move. Al-Ahly, understanding the need for regular minutes, is willing to send him out on loan to help him regain form and confidence.
“Yesterday evening, there was a meeting between Reda Salim and the authorized agent of Qatar SC, but nothing has reached Al-Ahly yet,” the insider said.
For now, it’s a waiting game, but all signs point to a possible shift for Salim, who is eager to kickstart his comeback on new soil.
