Real Madrid to face Real Valladolid without Vinicius Junior

Real Madrid will be without key forward Vinicius Junior as they face Real Valladolid on Saturday night at the Estadio José Zorrilla in their La Liga fixture.

The Brazilian star of Cameroonian descent is serving the final game of his two-match suspension in the league.

The 24-year-old received a red card during the match against Valencia on January 3 and is serving a two-match suspension.

He missed Real Madrid’s 4-1 victory over Las Palmas last weekend.

Carlo Ancelotti, the Real Madrid manager, announced the squad for the match, which also sees Lucas Vázquez returning.

Vázquez missed the midweek Champions League clash against RB Salzburg due to suspension but has been declared fit despite suffering a minor training issue on Thursday. He is expected to be available for selection.

In addition to Vázquez’s return, Ancelotti has included youngsters Lorenzo Aguado and Jacobo Ramon in the traveling squad. Ramon, who made his senior debut against Salzburg, has retained his place.

However, Real Madrid will be without Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Carvajal, and Eder Militao, who are sidelined with injuries. Despite these absences, Ancelotti’s side remains focused on maintaining their lead at the top of the La Liga table as they aim for another crucial win.

Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday night, with Real Madrid looking to extend their strong league form.
