Spanish football powerhouse Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing a move for highly-rated Moroccan talent Abdellah Ouazane, whose contract with Ajax expires on June 30, making him a free agent.
Ouazane has emerged as a hot prospect in European football following a standout season with the Dutch club’s youth setup.
His performances have drawn attention from several top European sides, but Real Madrid are believed to be leading the race, having already initiated contact with the player’s representatives.
The 17-year-old midfielder recently enhanced his reputation by being named Player of the Tournament at the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where he starred for Morocco.
Although Ouazane previously represented the Netherlands at the U-15 level, he has since committed to playing for Morocco and made his debut for their U-17 side in October 2024. Since then, he has scored four goals in 13 appearances.
Ouazane is valued for his versatility in midfield, capable of playing as both a central and attacking midfielder. He’s known for his sharp vision, powerful shooting, and proficiency in set pieces.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, Real Madrid may incorporate him into their famed youth academy or place him in the Castilla reserve team, depending on his development needs.
The club has reportedly monitored him since early last season but waited to see his performance in a major international competition before making a formal move.
With his contract at Ajax nearing its end, a summer switch to the Santiago Bernabéu could soon be on the cards for the rising Moroccan star.
