Africa Top Sports reported just over a week ago on the upcoming renovation of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, home to Real Madrid matches. Now, the project is beginning to take shape, and the news may not be entirely positive.
In an interview with AS, the architect responsible for the new stadium, Tristán López-Chiceri, revealed that Bernabeu will need to be “closed for three months” during the installation of the roof. However, this closure is scheduled to take place during the summer months to minimize the impact on Real Madrid’s season.
Additionally, according to the architect, certain sections of the stands may need to be closed during the renovation process. Moreover, the planned hotel within the complex will be situated above the VIP boxes, offering views of the pitch from some of its rooms.
